How to Recover from an Editing Mistake

Tweet this quote.I have talked before about how to overcome the worry of not being good enough (and here) and I have talked extensively about the verifiable fact that we are only human. Today I’m talking about how to recover from a mistake, keep the client happy, and regain your confidence, in my How To column at Copyediting.com.

Four steps to take in the face of a mistake: own it, fix it, laugh at it, and move on.

Now I’m going to stand in a Super Woman pose for two minutes. Excuse me.
